Working on three new 'drawings'....finally getting bigger, one narrative/surreal drawing is on part of a bumpoer I found by the road. The other two are on heavy mirrors bought at Goodwill shops. Learning about paint markers, as well as differences in mirror properties as I go.

Sorting through old slides of artwork, to make into photos or put on discs so that I can upload to this site. There are many hundreds of projects and work that i need to upload to fill out the material already here.

 .......and in early going, my fantasy baseball team is in first place despite some shaky pitching (on Yahoo, Morons3)

 

Also, look at 1001journals.com for a fine collaborative project. I had purchased the book 1000 journals, that had examples from journals that travelled all around the world.

The material you see is at present limited, and is certainly not a full rendering of all work done. This is especially true of older work, where I need to upload more photos, and to transfer the bulk of the work up to the nineties from slides into an uploadable format. This is an ongoing and at times haphazard process, as material becomes available. Please email me at crowcroft@fsmail.net if you have any questions. This site is not intended to promote sales of anything. I am, however, willing to sell work. I am also looking for teaching positions, visiting lecturer status at art colleges, exhibition opportunities, and to talk about mu work, where the communication of ideas is paramount. these are some of my recent sculptural drawings, dating back to August 2006. I have always created surrealistic drawings, and also sculptures and constructions using found objects. This is an attempt to blend these two interests. I started by drawing on lightbulbs with permanent markers. I moved on to a variety of plastic items, then went on to other materials, beginning to use paint markers. Items used include metal trays, record album covers, rolling pins, etc. Each piece begins with a word, chosen at random from a book, magazine, etc, adding a conceptual element to the piece.
